What happened to Manchester Watch Works?
Whatever happened to Manchester Watch Works is shrouded in mystery. I have only just begun investigating the events that led to its closure as I would like to get in contact with either Douglas Kim or his family to find out what happened and what we can do with the trademarks.

Where to Now with Manchester Watch Works?
When I purchased the Manchester watch works website and integrated it with Expert Dive Watch I did so with a long term plan in mind. You see I have always wanted to manufacture my own watch and have my own watch brand.
While I know there are still valid trademarks for MWW that prevent me from using the brand and trademarks I would like to find a way to purchase or take over the MWW brand and trademarks and revive some of the models such as the Iconik and Beluga.
Before You Go
I know you probably came here looking for what happened to Manchester Watch Works but I have no idea. I am in the process of kicking off an investigation as to what happened, as the closure seemed to be quite sudden and quite odd for a well-liked micro brand.
Maybe they were a victim of their own success, going too broad for a micro brand with too many models and not enough of a production run for the more successful models.
They had as many models or watches as a multi-billion dollar brand such as Seiko. They should have stuck with a few of the popular diver watches and focused on those.
I can promise one thing, as soon as I find out what happened it will be here first.
